I was under the impression that the mags had “ stepped aside “ during last week as they didn’t want to pay the reported £55m asking price for Trafford.

Guessand seems like a weird one, looks like he is more comfortable coming off the right rather than being an out and out #9, feel like we've had to many of those over the years
Seems to be the type of striker we like. Versatile. That said he’s a big ****er mind so could still offer something different up top.

Played majority of his career as a 9 but seen success from the right last season. Got to take into account tactics and playstyle. His attributes seem to fit the striker role at our club. Running in behind, good on the ball etc

Just a feeling, not a personal opinion on what we need or don't need.
Mental to feel like that, what we've said and done shoots this thought down i feel.

Despite the depth at centre back, theres a lot of injury worry. I think some will leave that we dont expect, we are so used to us doing business on deadline day, so its crazy to have this lot signed up already. But I dont rule us out working till deadline day on ins and outs.

Wouldn't mind seeing us bring in a marquee striker, but I'd take this lad as well, not sure if he'd get many minutes though.
I thought he looked very good for Liverpool when I watched him. He’d be a strong option from the bench. I’d actually be okay with Danns, Isidor, Mayenda, provided they stay injury free like.

But would gladly have him in their side..

Football fans are a very fickle bunch

I'd add in "ignorant" as well. Not so much stupid, as that they really know very little about other players or teams. They don't watch enough or research enough about other teams or players in a lot of cases unless it directly effects them, just cursory stuff or generally held views. If you take Diarra as an example, most won't have seen him or heard of him so will dismiss him. But if they were going to sign him, they'd research him and have a totally different opinion. It's easy to write off a player who had a bad season or struggled at a club without looking into the reasons why, unless it's your club going for them when you do some research.

It's not all fans and as a fanbase we'll have fans who'll be guilty of it as well, I just hope more fans take time to research what's going on before passing judgement. Otherwise you run the risk of looking stupid.
