I like Ramsdale and think he’s a good keeper but he’s had three relegation seasons so the evidence is he’s definitely not a mid table premier league player. I think he’d have the advantage of experience and the gap between him and Patto isn’t massive so might mean he and Patto genuinely have to improve to get games but he’s not even close to 20m worth in my view. I’d be thinking 12m tops with up to 6m in bonuses for survival, appearances and top ten finishes.

I saw David Bruce at an event yesterday. He said he was confident we would add several more players before the start of the season. And he said we had the funds and space (within the FFP rules) to spend quite a bit more.
BTW, he spoke more generally about the commercial/business/fan engagement side of the club... he was bloody impressive!

I'll go with Bill (Hunter) everytime. Smashing lad and likes a digestive or two with his tea.
