I don't think we'll move for Rongier tbh, I would be ok with it but he doesn't blow me away - not really the profile I think we need.

Although experienced and french is something I'm expecting one of our incomings to be.

I don't think we'll sign him either based purely on the fact he's been linked. I think a player being linked to us makes him less likely to join :D

Same. I love the big lad and he was immense throughout the 3 playoff games but had a bit of a shaky season otherwise and was often third choice, albeit he got unlucky with the timings of his injuries.

I think many are expecting him to step up easy simply because of 3 playoff games where teams lumped it into the box but the premier league won't be like that and I think he's going to get exposed for his turning speed and pace.

Not saying he can't do a job, he definitely can, but I'm not 100% confident in him being a starter.

he is our best Centre back unless we are signing two or three more then it’s a cert he will start unless injured of course

Also devil's advocate but does Regis Le Bris think Ballard is our best centre back? O'Nien started every game when fit and Ballard didn't. Ballard wasn't a cert to start when fit in the championship so I don't think we can say he's a "cert to start when fit" in the premier

He certainly rates him highly from a defensive aspect, once we weren't trying to control game Mepham got binned off.

I'm not sure if I'd be more surprised to see Luke or Dan starting the first game.

You cannot coach bottle or personality. Unfortunately patto has neither
