I’m not absolutely sold on the idea of Ghisolfi taking over the reins entirely if I’m honest - at least not without seeing something tangible first. There’s definitely been a bit of shiny new toy syndrome to the online discourse around the fella thus far. The idea that this is destabilising for the club certainly shouldn’t be dismissed. I do find it funny seeing people saying 'look at the calibre of player we're bringing in now Ghisolfi is here' or that the 'change' in player recruitment this window is down to him, totally ignoring that we've spent/been able to spend more on each of the players brought in (prior to Reinildo) so far than we probably have on all the players combined brought in the previous four years.

On Petrovic - I'd be gutted if he didn't join as I'm a big fan however, I also trust the club to sign someone either as good or who has a higher upside. The market we are in that is do-able imo - gets harder for the top top sides as there's less players about that could really strengthen them

I dont think the club will be waiting around for him to make a decision, the club will be ruthless and move onto other targets if players/clubs try to play us. I wouldn't even be surprised if we've already moved on from him

I can't believe how relaxed I am at the minute about our activity, I suspect when the season starts I'll get more nervous about who we are signing but at the minute I'm just enjoying all the links

That’s the biggest thing for me, total faith, enjoying the links if they come off great, if not onto the next one, buzzing the games start up again Saturday, I’ve not seen any of the 21s in person other than Harrison Jones so be good to see what the next lot have about them and the fringe lads/injured lads returning

if I’m being really greedy would like to see sadiki too

whole lot of waffle about nowt this post but I’m not untyping it now

If a player doesn't want to play for us then so be it, there's plenty of other quality players out that that will

As you said the market we are shopping in now is levels above what we are used to so going to have a lot of competition

Look I make no apology for basing this purely on Football Manager but I wouldn't mind Livakovic. Even though that source isn't great.
