He’s decent, not as good as the ones we’ve been linked with but at a cheaper price I wouldn’t mind it
We might have to go down in valuation on keepers to actually land one, I imagine the ones we’ve been targeting just will have better offers

@SourPatch2 @Scout73

did any of yous have an opinion on Lucas Perri?

Just wondering if I’m the only one who’s not convinced despite a decent season
Not really seen enough of him tbh

If we don't get Petrovic I'd quite like someone like Senne Lammens - his upside is really high but not as good as the others that have been linked for the immediate (would still do a job imo)

I suggested lammes and chevalier after bulka rejected us

If we’re determined to get a keeper I’d be happy enough to see us spend a smaller amount on an older one. We’ve got a potentially top class one that we should be aiming to step in a year or two down the line. We don’t necessarily need to go for an expensive prospect. Just find a data hero from some league. If we’re lucky they’ll be undervalued too.

Watched Lammens for years now, seen him at youth level for Belgium and for Club Brugges reserve side. His upside is huge, I didn't think he was great at playing out from the back (he's good enough but not elite for the top sides) when I watched him but was good at everything else

Not everyone will see Sunderland like we do, it’s just a job. Some will buy into it amd love it here, some won’t entertain it. We haven’t heard of a few of the signings until it’s pretty much done so there’s probably a lot going on, onto the next

yeh I was about to say. Keeper is the position I'd like us to sign the best possible we can have for NOW rather than worry too much about the future.

I think people just need to calm it a touch. We have made some incredible signings already. The fact that every sniff of a link is available makes more disappointment when it doesn't come off.

Also, whilst we are offering good deals and good fees, when other PL clubs come in, their contract offer, and sometimes their appeal is absolutely higher.

There will be loads more twists and turns to come. I am relaxed about it. New guy is apparently a machine and its the contacts help make deals happen.

If it’s really essential to find the best one now then go and find the best statistical performer from a decent league who is around 30 and at an unfashionable club. Should be able to do that for a 7 figure fee.
