Think we might have a gem in Mandava. Any player with 3 years under Simeone will always be one for me. Listening to his interview a passion and desire shines through. Might just be the best signing of the summer so far.

I don't want Neil to go but should the contract situation mean he needs to, I would not be against this lad being captain. Just seems to have standard and levels and I think he's going to be extremely popular.

Boga is absolutely ****e

but my point more is fans are saying he’s predictable and has mates clearly.

that’s not always a good thing

I’m not saying he’s bad he’s doing a class job so far just something I felt like pointing our
Boga is ****e? Played at the top level for some top clubs but is ****e, haha.

I have discovered a slight concern with ghisolfi. Past clubs seems to say he moves the same few players with him everywhere. I noticed this after the boga links.

after ghisolfi was coming here this guy said we’d bid for Boga.

Florent Ghisolfi is no longer going to Sunderland but to Porto, Boga is being tracked by Porto, Porto is following Bulka, Porto is after Gradit, the physio from Lens or Nice is heading to Porto, video analyst from Lens and Nice is on the way to Porto.

At Sport Cover, they are unbeatable and do their job remarkably well, that much you can't take away from them.

boga signed with sport cover and this lad said we’d make an offer.

worrying?
I mean would it not make sense for us to go for who the sporting director is after? As long as the players align with our system

Just occured to me I hadn't actually watched any highlights of Talbi apart from his champions league goals.

He looks rapid. And importantly he looks rapid over 2-3 yards not just over 30 yards, which for me is so important. He will be able to lose players quickly. Love it.
I mentioned his speed from a standing start when he was first linked. It is a stand out attribute. He is an exciting player for sure. Still a few questions for me in terms of the standard he is coming from week in week out, and one or two rough edges. But he is really young, they all have them. Interesting to see how he and Mundle match up, if indeed he does play on the left. If Mundle had been injury free I wonder what his stats might have been last season. Let them battle it out I say.

I personally have a feeling we are moving into a different recruitment strategy and that it suits Ghisolfi’s skillset a lot.

I wouldnt go that route personally. I dont like new players taking the armband. I am still a firm believer in the armband really has to be earned. It is a privilege but a hugely important role day in day out. I am not sure who I would give it to though if Neil does go. In my opinion he was an outstanding captain last season and it will be some shoes to fill. Probably between Ballard and Hume for me, at a push Ballard. I like a captain in the spine of the side.

Speaking of GKs

I see the Mags still haven’t signed Trafford

It’s a strange one as I’d like Burnley to lose him but definitely not to the filth. Rate him very highly
We should just go and offer Burnley their asking price for Trafford. We get a keeper and Burnley lose one. If nothing else, it’ll force Newcastle to match the asking price, which they won’t be happy about.

I do concur normally I'd be against it but this guy seems a special case.

If we were sticking to existing players I'd personally go Hume. Ballard is a bit too quiet for me. Quite a shy lad. Hume will be vocal and I like my captains vocal - especially when paired with a more measured manager. Need someone to rile them up!
