but it seems to me that Lauriente is the better player right now but Talbi has much higher potential, which is a better fit for our model. Could be way off though, ha.Would love to hear the thoughts of @Scout73 and some of the other more knowledgeable guys on here!

Johnstone isn’t amazing. But as a backup goalkeeper it’s an improvement on Moore
I don't think Johnston is a bad keeper but don't think he is much of an upgrade on patto
Aye be less if he moves again you’d imagine.
Scenario when we sign Petrovic, sell Patto for pure profit, and bring in Johnstone for a similar fee to the sale but split over a 3 year deal or whatever benefits us in several ways.
If it was as first choice I’d sooner keep Patto and see him develop.
Hopefully we hear an update in petrovic today, be great to get him in

This lad looks at every clubs transfers and seems to know his stuff about this and that. it's from the 30th of June and oddly mentions Sam Johnstone.
Definitely agree it’s worth having a few of these types in the squad that have the experience. I think the hesitancy comes from knowing that if we had a whole squad of them, we’d get murdered most weeks (obviously this isn’t the case with our recent signings)

Both have pace and versatility so it still wouldn't surprise if we went for both but I would honestly prefer Talbi out of the 2

Not every signing will be Hollywood, some will be very savvy.
