Doesn’t necessarily mean owt

True and tbh I know nowt about either one, other than what I've read / watched over the last few days <laugh> but it seems to me that Lauriente is the better player right now but Talbi has much higher potential, which is a better fit for our model. Could be way off though, ha.

Would love to hear the thoughts of @Scout73 and some of the other more knowledgeable guys on here!

Only said he was at the BBQ and said he didn't see any new players wasn't like he made any sensationilist stories like most do
Yeah I never said anything mate. It was posted that he’d heard new people were supposed to be at the BBQ someone asked me if he was reliable and I said I don’t know

then I realised he said he was actually at the BBQ so I said that and that he’ll tell us later if he sees anyone

not once did I say he’s full of ****

I’d rather not for the fee he’d cost

they paid £10 million last summer

Aye be less if he moves again you’d imagine.

Scenario when we sign Petrovic, sell Patto for pure profit, and bring in Johnstone for a similar fee to the sale but split over a 3 year deal or whatever benefits us in several ways.

If it was as first choice I’d sooner keep Patto and see him develop.

Hopefully we hear an update in petrovic today, be great to get him in

This lad looks at every clubs transfers and seems to know his stuff about this and that. it's from the 30th of June and oddly mentions Sam Johnstone.

Why?

What’s bad about being linked with a keeper with a few England caps who is proven in the PL?

If he was back up to Petrovic or whatever we’d be well covered.
Definitely agree it’s worth having a few of these types in the squad that have the experience. I think the hesitancy comes from knowing that if we had a whole squad of them, we’d get murdered most weeks (obviously this isn’t the case with our recent signings)

I actually think they are about the same at the minute and Talbi has the higher upside

Both have pace and versatility so it still wouldn't surprise if we went for both but I would honestly prefer Talbi out of the 2

@JimHeron92, @SourPatch2 or @MadMackem77 - what you guys think

Agreed.

Not every signing will be Hollywood, some will be very savvy.

This could be very savvy if the scenario is right .
