It was an open secret that Isak wanted away if they didn't get Champions League football next season, this just makes it that he just wants to be away regardless. Add in Tonioli who patently showed he didn't want to be there when he first signed for them, who I think will be back off to Italy the first good chance that comes his way.
Couldn't give a **** about them anyway. We'll find out on the weekend of 13th December, whether we've renewed our rivalry. Until then!

Isak is top drawer like, he has everything and defo arguably the best in the PL simply because I think there’s a real lack of quality “9s” but this talk of him being the best in the world yet is absolute waffle.

Haaland is a great goal scorer but his all round play isn’t great. Wissa scored as many goals from open play this season in an average Brentford team and yet if he was mentioned as being one of the best in the world people would scoff. Kane bagged 53 goal contributions in 50 games, including 11 goals in the champions league. That’s probably more than Isak has scored in Europe in his career. For comparison Isak had 33 goal contributions in 42 games. Both Mbappe and Lewa both over 40 goals in all comps. Gyokores obviously ridiculous numbers but I really don’t rate him anywhere near the others he’s playing against absolute dross most weeks, and that’s including Porto and Braga now. Other than Sporting Benfica have a half decent team in that league so it’s hard to judge him.

For me Kane is still by far the best in the world and the fact he’s put up better numbers than Isaks best season (this) for the last decade is wild.

How many you reckon Isak would score for Bayern, Real or Barca who you are comparing to?

Don’t forget they had a **** start, and don’t create chances anything like those sides.

Isak would do Haaland numbers in the right team, whilst also contributing elsewhere.

His finishing is outrageous, if he had more chances he’d score buckets more goals.

I could certainly see an argument for Kane as a pure 9, oddly he gets underrated as he’s English where we usually overrate English.

Kane is a sensational striker.

We should stick a £35million bid in for Isak. He wouldn’t need to move house and he knows the area.
If they don’t want to do that maybe a player swap, Onien or Hjelde for Isak sounds about right although I doubt Luke would go there.

I wonder how much Kevin Phillips would be worth in today’s money for his 35 goal season.

Well the way I see it is, obviously Barca/Madrid create a lot of chances but it’s not as straight forward as that. City is a good example, if Isak was playing for City he’d go from playing in a team that other teams come out and play against to playing for a team who are up against everyone parking the bus. He wouldn’t get the space or time he gets at Newcastle imo, so he would defo score a lot of goals but it’s not as simple as saying he’d score 20 more because they create more chances. Newcastle play to create chances for Isak. Barcelona don’t play for Lewa because they have goals all around him so they don’t have to rely on him when their wingers are adding 50+ goals in all comps. It will be interesting to see how he gets on at Liverpool if he goes there but nowhere near Kane yet imo he’s done it for 18 months. Kane has done it from the age of about 20 and he was hitting 30 goal PL seasons at Spurs.

Good arguments. Don't you think Kane lacks the mobility to be in the conversation for best striker? He can get away with it more in Germany compared to the PL.

Like I say is a fair argument, and a very well put one. I disagree that he wouldn’t score more though.

Yes, he’s focal point at Newcastle but so absolutely is Haaland at City.

Mbappe is a clear comparison as they both can drift out and run past men and score from nothing, if you took that to a top side alongside his finishing ability, which is clean and clinical, I think he would score Kane numbers.

Got to also remember, he wasn’t ever a 9, he was often left side for Sociedad, not sure they knew what they had.

They knew he wasn’t ever special, fee tells you that, but they maybe didn’t realise just how good.

It’s fair what you say about the longevity aspect and only time will tell on that.

Actually I think that really works for Bayern and it would work for City/Liverpool because they generally play around the opposition box which would allow Kane to drop deeper easily and get back into the box. For England we don’t seem to play that domination football against the better teams so he ends up coming far too deep for the ball and it hinders him. I think he’s adapted his game brilliantly as he’s got older, I reckon if he came back to England for either of those two I mentioned above he’d hit 30 goals in the PL if he played every game. He’d obviously get the extra European games for a bigger club too so no doubt if he had a 50 game season like Mbappe/Kane he might well reach similar numbers in the right team. We can both agree the sooner he’s away from the ****ers the better :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Kane and Isak definitely the best two.

Haaland for all his goals is hated by some City fans. He offers nothing during games and is like playing with 10 men sometimes.

There's a weird narrative around Haaland. He is the best striker in the prem for me. He's struggled with injuries recently but he finds himself in fantastic position and generally buries his chances. He played in a stuttering city side with no midfield and still was only behind Isak. As long as he doesn't get injured this season I think he'll on for 30+ goals again.
