I don't believe he is worth 50k a week, big gamble and big impact on our squad... unless everyone is moving to 50k a week. Do you believe Neil deserves 50k, or 20k from his current 9k?

No, I don’t.

I don’t think Dan is anywhere near the calibre of Bulka.

You are comparing the top rated keeper in Europe last year with a player who’s never kicked a ball in PL.

I love Dan but he didn’t even light up the Championship.

If you don’t believe he’s worth 50k I’m fine with that, and nobodies arguing your opinion.

If I look at going rate for a PL keeper salary, I can easily be comfortable with 50k.

I can’t be clearer on this and have nothing further to add.

I’d imagine ELF and Diarra are both on £50k per week or more.

Every club has wage disparity, especially one in growth mode

players need to be mature enough to realise that
I've seen it mentioned ELF is on about 60. I wonder what's going to happen to our team spirit if Neil is being offered something like 20

Don’t panic over Bulka lads.
Remember when we seemed to be going all out to get Will Still as manager. It looked like it was going to happen.
We ended up with Regis.

If Bulka comes…great. If not we will have loads of other options.
If he goes to neom for the money we’ve dodged a bullet.
If he comes to us for footballing reasons he’s the right one.

yeh it’s definitely something the club have to keep in mind. But we have no idea what anyone’s really or being offered. Neil may well be being offered £40 himself

I understand what you're saying but players will get the best deal they can and the going rate for a player of that profile is probably in the 40-50 range, if he stayed at Nice he wouldn't be able to command a wage like that because it would likely break their wage structure.

67k is tge average premier league salary, if any other premier league club was after him the salary range would probably start at 40k minimum.

Hope so, and as per Nads, Neil hasn't proven himself in the Premier yet... but I'm praying he can. How the club deal with his contract is going to be interesting.

He can go out this season and show he’s worth £60k a week, I’m sure the club will give him a decent contract if he proves he can make the step up. Giving someone twice their salary basically because we’ve signed a better player from a bigger club who was already on a big wage is mental. If you offer Neil big money then every other lad who played a part last season deserves it too. Plenty were better than him imo.

I think everyone knows my feelings on O’nien as a footballer but I’d love for him to be offered one last contract and a decent one to retire on. Obviously not ridiculous money but the blokes been on piss poor wages all of his career and he proved a lot of people wrong last season I think, me included. Would be nice for him to get a 3 year contract with a decent salary to set him up for his service to the club over the last two promotions, I’ll bet the bloke is barely on £5k a week. Maybe something like £15k a week as a squad player. Understand sentiment means nout if we go straight back down, but if we do I imagine he’ll play his part.

**** me your back with your ****e again

According to The Sun, discussions with Palace have taken place but the 31-year-old is now in advanced talks with Sunderland and an agreement over a two-year contract is likely imminent.

Reinildo has spent three and a half seasons with Atleti, after joining the Madrid outfit from Lille in January 2022.

He has made 103 appearances under Diego Simeone but his contract is due to expire next week.

That should allow Sunderland to sign him on a free transfer.
Anyone who plays that much in defence in a Simone side is welcome here for me

Bulka was on 5k and looking for Quadruple. He was not on big bucks.

Nads took a mix of AI quotes and one said he was after 220k a month = 50k a week... which was a contradiction to the 5k Quadruple post...

Just hope the club offer Neil a structured deal based upon performance this coming season.

i wonder if we'll be short come the end of the window, could argue it happened with a couple of summers, notably with a striker, wonder if theres zero chance we go in undercooked with this new guy at the helm
