I have a different view. Jobe played through tough spells in season 1. He was physically stretched, and more importantly mentally. His mind and body grew over the summer and he came back absolutely a different animal. I think Rigg will do the same, maybe more so as his exposure is greater.True although not the be all and end all, do you not think the change from end of 23/24 to start of 24/25 was the biggest change for Jobe. Coaches working with him constantly over the summer in pre season was possibly more beneficial. Think at Riggs age game time isn't necessarily the most important because he's just turned 18, he's still growing and improving with the coaches 4 days a week and then the 90mins on a Saturday is useful for parts of his development but not everything.
Id be happy enough with him fighting for his spot and coming off the bench, personally don't think it would stunt his development at 18 but his minutes would need to increase gradually.

That's fair enough, sounds like you don't have a different view because that's exactly what I was saying will happen and has happened so far. We agree a lot of the development happened after the first season over the summer when the player gets time to reflect, rest and come back to a month of training.I have a different view. I have seen loads of lads in their late teen years do what Jobe did (in a less illustrious way). They find the mens game so tough, but the mentally strong ones come through it and improve leaps and bounds overnight. Some go backwards to then come forward. I am so confident Rigg will be physically and mentally dominant next season. Could be wrong like, but I wouldnt mind a few quid on him being one of the first names on the teamsheet by the time November comes around.
Not disagreeing mate. I just think Rigg will earn his spot as one of the best midfielders we have. I really cant wait to watch him. Not many lads at his age have a footballing brain like his. I watch the players we are linked with and honestly non excite me as much as Rigg does. We have the very real deal already in our squad. Bring on the prem!Tough one for me this mate, I agree with you totally but I think this season is going to be harder than ever and we have no room for passengers. Rigg deserves his shot but if we sign better midfielders we can’t not play them because we need to develop a player and potentially handicap ourselves in the middle by being too lightweight because ELF is also not physically great. The club know how talented the boy is and I’m sure they’ll get it right like they did with Jobe. I also think it’s easier to carry a young lad if there’s quality all around him rather than loads of other young lads who’ve never played at this level though. Judging by some of the names linked I think the only cert to start in the 3 is Le Fee.

Aye, fair mate. Challenge for every player is good. I think Rigg of course needs it. Wouldnt be the end of the world for a Hendo character to guide him a little bit too. I might be proven wrong, just think we will see a Rigg ready to fly come the season. Might end up with Diarra as first subThat's fair enough, sounds like you don't have a different view because that's exactly what I was saying will happen and has happened so far. However, there's no harm in not making Rigg need to be first choice and I'm definitely of the opinion we should sign someone in his position for him to challenge with.
Or both of them and we are playing Le fee as the 6. There's options indeed.Aye, fair mate. Challenge for every player is good. I think Rigg of course needs it. Thats a real shame, ah well all aboard on Anton Stach now.
I really don't understand where this attitude comes from with sections of Leeds fans.
