Nah. It's amortised across the whole length of the contract. And given the confirmation was only made on promotion, I'm not sure if we get to amortise it across the loan period too. Maybe we can, but that only represents getting rid of £2m of his fee. A welcome adjustment, but hardly a seismic shift. It is from what ive been told, as the deal was technically done in January it goes towards last seasons budget

It’s mental that if he comes here he’s decided to give up champions league football to do soI think Ghisolfi is crucial to this with Bulka
5 on 2 marraIt's all good banter and we're all Sunderland fans after all, it was 5-on-1 for a moment there and it was getting a bit manic, if i missed a couple of quotes I apologise, I didn't know who to reply to first and then more notifications were coming in.![]()

how far we’ve come from players choosing Charlton over us
Fair, I was chatting to a chief scout and he was saying it'll start coming off of last seasons budget as the deal was agreed and effectively signed thenNah. I think we all need to enjoy the ride and trust the club to deliver can’t even begin to second guess the plans it’s gona be a good ride
I agree broadly, and my posting record on here will show that, the club is better ran now than probably anytime in my life and I feel strongly that the club have people at the helm that won't put it's future in jeopardy, that said, none of us are privy to the inner workings of the clubs finances or transfer deals, so it's good to air our opinions if we see something that doesn't seem right to us, again acknowledging that we're not privy to all the details.
Definitely trust that they won't leave us in a financial black hole btw. I think we can call that one iron clad. I'm less convinced that they'll use what we have to maximise our return (though still wouldn't say I doubt them) but that is something we can't know till later anyway.Fair, I was chatting to a chief scout and he was saying it'll start coming off of last seasons budget as the deal was agreed and effectively signed then
The club will know best than all of us what they can spend this summer
They've been careful with their spending and KLD always talks about sustainability so he isnt going to go against that now imo
Always good to hear other opinions tbh mate, you and @Frazier the Lion raised your concerns well and it wasn't argumentive etc.I agree broadly, and my posting record on here will show that, the club is better ran now than probably anytime in my life and I feel strongly that the club have people at the helm that won't put it's future in jeopardy, that said, none of us are privy to the inner workings of the clubs finances or transfer deals, so it's good to air our opinions if we see something that doesn't seem right to us, again acknowledging that we're not privy to all the details.
You're right, sorry that I pushed hard back at you earlier. I was in a fun bubble and you were piercing it![]()
100%, be some cracking discussions throughout this window but we won't really know how good/bad it is until after the windowDefinitely trust that they won't leave us in a financial black hole btw. We will know about the shirt deal and the Hummel increase coming days.
Bet they surprise a few and bet they add a pile to our PSR ceiling.
I'd probably welcome getting rid of the SoL name tbh. Never liked it. So long as we don't do anything as cheesy as 'The Stadium of Light, powered by E.On'I still think we're missing a trick not having a stadium sponsor. Nobody would ever use it so nothing would change apart from on official literature.

probably best for everyone if we just park the finance chat and focus on the quality of player
can they immediately improve us is the most important think for me.
Exciting times ahead for sure
