As soon as we are mentioned looking at a player we seem to get lots of ‘Burnley, Wolves, West Ham etc’ are also looking at him posts.

We may be favourites to go back down but could easily bounce back up and I can see how that can be a downside for players we want but we have a huge advantage over every other premiership club.

We can offer first team football.

Apart from LeFee, all positions are up for grabs.
Mayenda, Hume, Cirkin will probably start but if we’re targeting players in the £20million range, none of these 3 would be guaranteed starters.
Mundle and Ballard would have to fight for their start.
Neil and Patterson are currently starters but given competition of an incoming £20million player they may well be subs.
The rest are subs.

All the other teams have better players than us so a £20million player would likely not start for them.
Come to us and you’ll play.

We’ve got one hell of a war chest

the ability to offer first team football with notable gaps in the 11

a coach whose style is naturally aligned with how we should be playing in order to stay in this league

The nature of this deal has me believing we can turn this energy into similar incoming deals
