2 questions about bridges.

The new footbridge going to the stadium of light. I’ve seen some pictures where it looks like another bridge is below it joining the riverside paths. Is this true that another bridge will be built there or is it just artistic pictures on how the area could look in the future.

The metro extension to Washington.
Will there be another bridge built across to the Hylton area from Washington. The route plan clearly crosses the Wear.

There are definitely plans for the low level footbridge but this is not expected to start before 2030.

The low level bridge is a future hopeful project that will link the new riverside park (Galley Gill) with land below stadium, if money available 2030+.

The metro will use the victoria viaduct, the old Leamside line
