Early conversations were probably started on a provisional basis before the play-offs...graduated to serious conversations since. The fact that the window doesn't close until well after the season has started is a disgrace,which needs fixing imo. I think for the cost of the English market we can find better abroad for less
Undoubtedly, just about signing players who can adjust to the country quickly.
Our most success has been with players who either knew English or learned the language quickly.
We absolutely can. But we do need a bit of both in my eyes.
I certainly don’t wants us just catching the baton of plodders who bounce from one relegated side to another though.
Saints I’d love Harwood -Bellis, KWP and Ramsdale.
Leicester I’d take Hermansen and Fatawu (lefty!)
Ipswich I like Hutchison and Davies.
I don’t think for a second we look at any of those.

Oh yeah. You can buy players of that ilk and have them contribute but you've got to avoid paying £20m+ for them. You need to find the ones that teams have kinda forgotten about, but could still do a job. There are players who get traded around PL clubs for middling 7 figures each season that go on to make solid impacts. Need to be all over those types of deals.
