He’s the 6 I hoped we could get. Winning loose balls and restarting play. We need to be ready for quick breaking players and he seems equipped. They all do Rigg included.

He does remind me of Kante, just goes about his business and covers every blade of grass. Of course he's not on Kantes level but the upside is there

I said I wanted physicality its boys like him and Diarra that I wanted, players who can out work/run their opponents but still having quality on the ball

Easy part of football to be fair.

I havent seen much of him, what I have seen I think he needs to step up to get a starting spot. One for the squad and to grow and learn I think.

Much more likely than some of the so called journos on the internet tbh. Clearly Embleton and Rigg will know each other in some capacity.

If Rigg was leaving and was open enough about it that he’s told his ex colleagues who are so open about it that they’ve told their uncles, who are so open about it that they’re telling people at work, then the media would have picked it up by now.

Sorry to be so flippant about it btw, it’s just if we believed the stories from people’s dads about Chris Rigg then he wouldn’t have signed a pro deal and would be a Newcastle player right now

It was a header that came up on my phone but I've just had a look and can't find the report now. I think it was along the lines of a quote from Elliot Embleton's dad.

Not so sure about that mind. I dont believe he is leaving, if he is I will be gutted beyond belief. But I think you might give a bit too much credit to the modern day media. 90% of what is pumped out is guesswork and copying each other. Very little real effort into souricing genuine info. At least that is how it seems to me.

I am not believing it. I just find it a bit odd how folk seem to hang on tweets from every man and his dog, but dismiss other info out of hand. It is almost like the world has to be lived in the bubble of social media and anything outside of it isnt real. Not picking on you mate here btw. I just find it odd how we all react to good and bad rumours and their origin.

I try and react to each bit of information I get on its own merits. “Somebodies dad told somebody at work that something is happening” just isn’t believable to me. Positive or negative.

But Sacha whatshisface or Fab Romano who’ve both established credibility and have a track record for accuracy are believable to me.

That is my point. My guess if it had been a tweet it would have garnered more concern. And on the internet folk just spout ****e without at least providing info on where they heard it.

your point stands about it being a tweet from some random source.

I only “believe” tweets from established credible sources

If there’d been a tweet at all it would have been everywhere.

    Rigg is incredibly high profile.

Fair. The first can and will happen of course, at times. I only know one man who may have the inside track, and he wouldnt dream of having somebody tweet about it, but would say something over a pint to me. Probably because he knows I am internet illiterate <laugh>

Romano seems to get stuff right. It seems to me largely when things are all done and he is a bit of an early media outlet for clubs. So many rumours on here come from other parts of the internet that still garner a reaction different to this one, even if after 20 mins folk say oh hang on he has 200 follower so it is ****e.

    Just an observation is all.

I'd be amazed if Rigg left, had his pick of clubs last summer so that would have been his time to go. We are the right club for his development, even with the talented lads coming in Rigg will play loads

I fully expect him to really kick on this season, I think the 2 new lads coming on will just kick his game on to a whole new level

Neil is the concern for me, heard rumours he was wanting a new challenge but hope that's not true and he signs a new contract
