Reynolds only bought Wrexham because of Sunderland 'til I die. Imagine if he'd invested in us instead.
Not sure if it would have had quite the same effect. The smaller club have proper embraced him and I don’t think we would have in the same way. I think they’ll do very well now I know they have some serious backers.
I saw it written the other day, after seeing Sunderland til I die he decided to do it. Maybe it was the other guy McElenny (?) Edit - yeh it was the other guy. Last paragraph here -> https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/clyqp5j5pymo
Aye it was Rob, he likened Sunderland to the place he grew up in and he’s a proper die hard sports fan. should add that we definitely would have warmed to Rob cos of this
so approx 5-7m a year gross, not absurd at all in the scheme of the premier league, squad players and even third string keepers are earning 25k minimum.
Speaking out my ass here but read this and tell me which Sunderland player matches this. https://x.com/rajsinghchohan/status/1827427190201258223
Blokes done well for himself in thje grand scheme of it but let's be hoonest, one does PR the other sell insurance, might aswell compare the latter to an ambulance chaser on business ability at this level.
Only takes anoither season or two of windows like last year and the saudi teams will have first 11s full of internationals and at that point, it's no joke anymore.
Was trying to look for some cheaper options that add some height to our midfield, really intrigued by Silas Andersen - was unbelievable in their first game of the season I watched and seems to have kept up that form since. Silas Andersen - 6'4'' - 20 years old - Playing in the Allsvenskan for Hacken (Sweden) - Signed in January for €1,000,000 - Last game won 8 tackles and completed 100 passes - Also won 17 duels / 26 attempted - Insanity. - Pretty slim so probably needs some bulking up but his size allows him to protect the ball - A bit gangly - Allsvenskan isn't necessarily an unreal standard (yet a hotbed of talent) and struggled to break into a decent Utrecht team - Has good pedigree having been scouted and signed by Inter Milan as a 16 year old. - Long legs seem to allow him to reach everything that gets close to him Just someone I want to keep an eye on heading into the summer because if he can keep up this impressive run there will certainly be teams watching. Attached is over half an hour of footage from the first game of this season:
And keeps putting up pretty mad numbers like that every game, even just from the first minute of that footage you can see what hes about - surprisingly quick and keeps the ball well. I am still not sure how you clearly have so much of the ball to make 100 passes and yet are involved in 26 duels - bonkers.
