Without meaning to jinx him, Hume just doesn’t miss matches with injury. I’d back him to play all 38 minus suspensions. Add in any time we can get out of Huggins and then O’Nien and I’d be comfortable enough going into the season. Other players could cover the odd game too. Right backs are generally the ones that are easiest to find a square peg for. If we go and get Singo too, we’ve got yet another option.

He looked a good one but I do wonder if this was opportunity dependent rather than a desperate need. If we can find a great option at the right age and right price then all good. If not then we go with what we have.
