Getting a few ‘low cost’ deals is a good thing. They’re the sort of players who help the PSR calcs considerably.
Aye,let's enjoy it while we can! I'm happy we won't be going to Wrexham,Birmingham,Coventry,Portsmouth,Millwall etc. Looking forward to a real break from them.Bring on the Horrible Magpie Lair,Tottenham Stadium, Everton's new ground, West Ham's sell out to their previous wonderful home,Craven Cottage,Nottingham Forest......can't wait....home and away this season going to be special. I've gone off thread here! Sorry lads, got carried away!
His development has indeed been ridiculous. But it has also been fairly predictable. He improves every month and has more or less always done so this season when he's been fit.
Reading the retained list, felt like we were probably not signing Meptham. For 80% of the season I was certain we should sign him then the final few weeks, thought we’ll probably need better in the prem / there’s better value in the championship. I’ve probably swayed more to keeping him now. The reports from RLB and the footage of the team talking about him, sounds really important with a young squad. Good experience, played in the prem, always been fit. If he’s being brought in as a starter I’d be a bit disappointed but we’ll need options and he’s a really good 3rd/4th choice cb for a newly promoted side. Obviously great for championship level if the worst happens.
Maybe. But Mayenda showed more pace, more desire and more willingness to have a shot at goal in his first few minutes for us than Hemir ever did. I would be absolutely staggered if Hemir made it at any level of professional football other than the lowest Tier, and then he'll be a drifter if he sticks at it He has been at three good clubs now. He is not a kid, and he has shown nothing
I know that, it was more the clubs post online thanking him for his contribution. His potential extension with Bournemouth will probably mean any deal will take a bit longer than it did to announce ELF
As others have said Hemir needs to find some fire in his belly. He could be a beast of a ST but his mentality and attitude has to change - his warm up at Shields in preseason was ridiculous, couldn’t even be arsed to lift his knee up high and keep up with the rest of the group. Hopefully he comes back and has some renewed determination after seeing what Mayenda has done, but I doubt it.
Can’t argue with that Like I said earlier - the main frustration with Mayenda came from great chances being missed. He’s put that right
Not really relevant to your point here but I keep clicking on the championship to look for this forum, and then that follows with a great realisation
Also, we may need to take in account that very little gets done in June,as this will go into this years accounts, from july its a new kettle of fish
