30million we could go after someone like Jerdy Schouten or Johnny Cardozo. Ball playing CDM with growth space and massive potential resale.
This 100%. We love jobe, don’t want any sour ending but if they agreed to that then that’s what they’ll have to wait for us to get. Let’s not forget we’ve done well by this lad too, last year when he struggled badly we stood by him, then this year he’s come on leaps and bounds with a load of game time in his preferred position. I’d hope him and the family respect we have to do right by us first and foremost, I think they will.
I hope we hold out for it if it’s contractually agreed. No reason to doubt we won’t other than those personal relationships and the fact the Bellinghams got him out of Birmingham cheaply. You’d think Fab has got the info about us not accepting less directly from the club so it suggests we are willing to play hard ball.
Can’t see us haggling for too long mind if jibe has made the decision. Especially not with how close speakman and co are with the Bellingham family. I reckon @Southern A is right and we will get around €30m in the end
Yeah what Fabrizio is saying is a lot better. Real shame to see him go but i'll be watching his career proudly. Think he'll make the World Cup squad.
If we end up getting c£30m for Jobe, you’d imagine it will be done in a week or so. Having £40m recouped in transfer fees before we even hit the main part of the window is a great start for the bounty. Albeit I’d prefer to keep Jobe
Club record sale please. Really hope we get some contract news in the next couple of weeks. Mundle, mayenda, Rigg, Neil, cirkin and Hume would soften the blow. Don’t think we can be selling anymore now it’s jobe and Watson gone from last year (even Meptham too).
I would love that but I think it will be less. Bet its somewhere in the 23-25m looks better it euros like.
Good price I think. England usually take one or two kids to get experience. Tuchel will see and hear a lot of Dortmund for obvious reasons
I think it’s a negotiation. 40m is our starting point, 25 is their’s. They know and we know the player wants the move. They will come up to 30. We’ll come down to 35. Then we will settle on 30 rising to 35 with a sell on. (all in euros)
KLD has liked Romanos insta post. He's worded it differently too. "No intention to negotiate under 40m"
I think it's fair to say that Clarke was more important, before he left, than Jobe is now. Of course Jobe has a greater potential but he's currently inconsistent. It's great though, and I agree with you, that it's wonderful to be able to watch lads like him, Amad, etc, come through our club. Every time we see Jobe we can think of that advert and think, 'Born in Dudley ... made in Sunderland'
