Isak ACTUALLY getting to wear a proper famous number 9 shirt has tickled me mind.

Now that’s a 9 shirt with some legacy.

Want the slightest bit interested in Birmingham. But I'll be looking now, hoping Paddy does his things there.

    STUNNING window.

We were proud all ready after last season but the bar has been raised.

KLD, Speakman, Ghisolfi, and Regis, thank you.

    We Are Sunderland.

Why does this picture of Wissa look like he's been caught by the police having a piss against a wall??? Are their photographers that hopeless?

As a sentimental old softy I'd loved to have seen Sunderland go bravely into this season with the same players who somehow managed to get us up ...

... the reality is that we'd have probably been decimated already.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Rigg, Hume, Ballard grow into the PL but it's a brutal league and there's no room for misty eyed sentimentality.

A cheap buy price, 1 year deal, premier experience, clearly bought for depth. It’s the polar opposite of panic buy. It’s not the X factor winger we wanted but we clearly pivoted and spent the money on the ST instead

Traore will be fine as a squad player. £2.5m is **** all in the PL these days

So far beyond my expectations as to be other worldly.

How lucky we are to have this owner, these people guiding the ship.

Hello world!! It's us, Sunderland. We're back!

If Traore had been the first signing of the window probably would have thought a solid enough addition to the squad, it's just compared to all the others seems a bit anticlimactic. Sure he'll do a job for us.

Just a smart pivot signing really and he brings a load of experience and off the back of a 18 G/A’s season

I think it looks like a “ do a job” last minute gap filler in some respects but pretty much everyone wanted an experienced forward akin to Xhaka and Reinildo. Granted he’s not that quality but could very much be an astute signing and brings big club as well as premier league experience.

At that price, and with the fact he nicks a goal or two he could be the best value of the lot!

The fact we spoke to BB 5 weeks ago shows we did not pivot

We’d have gone down bottom, and badly bottom mate.

The players we’ve retained are likely here a long time, and sold upwards.

We haven’t sold our soul, we’ve bought savvy, at fair prices.

    We’ve done brilliantly.

    Patto
    Trai
    Ballard
    Cirkin
    Mayenda
    Mundle
    Rigg
    Neil
    Wilson

These are all getting minutes, some of them will get a LOT of minutes.

I’m gonna call it ‘rapid evolution’. That’s a hefty list of players staying part of the first team squad for a no hoper playoff winner.

We’ve done it different. I wager all of those players retained have PL careers.
