    Loan with option was the only deal that made sense to us. If that is true, I'm glad he turned us down. Those two loan spots are invaluable to us this season - either this summer or in January.

    It's only 2 loan spots from teams in the Premier League, which obviously Southampton aren't in. I think you can still have 5 in a match day squad.

    EDIT: Apologies, it's 2 loans from English clubs, so you're right, he would take up 1 of the 2 we could have from domestic clubs. We could still have others from abroad.
