You see that's how I know it can't be true. Its CitizenM. There's no space between. It'll all unravel now I've caught you not abiding by brand names
He's probably a little bit better, but not much IMO. The U21 thing is as much to do with timing as anything. If Neil had been born three weeks later he'd have likely been in contention alongside Hackney. He was just too old for the intake - and was battling with prem players as a newly promoted champ player for the 2023 squad.
If Dan Neil’s data was anywhere close to Hackneys last season our fans would be saying he’s a £50m player
Sounding very promising with Xhaka, hopefully we get an ornstein or plettinberg article about an agreement today
I’ve hadn't seen that photo but it could be seen as close to what my Dutch mate said … … Xhaka and Ten Haag don’t look too cosy, almost ‘doing a Beale’.
I think they are much of a muchness tbh, neither are stand out, game changing midfielders at championship level although I do believe both are good players and have potential to get better. it’s a difficult one for Neill (actually think the stuff below is the same for Patto) as I don’t see another PL team offering him much more than we would either wages or playing minutes wise. he could drop back to the championship to a favourite for promotion but they aren’t going to be offering him much bigger wages in my opinion. Europe could be an option as he could get a gig in a top level division like serie a but salary wise he is unlikely to get a lot more than what he would get here. I’d like him to stay as I think he could be a good squad player, question is, is he prepared to become a squad player after being team captain and regular starter for us…psychologically it’s a big drop but could open more doors next season as a free transfer. ironically if our transfer business had seen defenders and strikers arrive early rather than midfielders he may have he more game time in pre season to impress, feels like he has been left behind and uncertainty of not signing a new deal won’t have helped if he goes it will be with the best of wishes and thanks for the critical role he’s played in our return to the premier league as well as a little tinge of sadness
To be fair they do play different midfield roles but the stats are comparable https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/2025/2/6/24359265/talking-tactics-middlesbrough-a
Eccentric, 100%. Going by your passion for a certain type of music (protest) and the work that you’ve spoke about doing, that’s always the impression of you that I’ve built up in my head.
That one game they may have been but over the course of the season they’re worlds apart. https://fbref.com/en/players/a47ad0f5/scout/365_m2/Dan-Neil-Scouting-Report https://fbref.com/en/players/ba397562/scout/365_m2/Hayden-Hackney-Scouting-Report
