Italian players so rarely settle that I’d be somewhat dubious. However there are certainly young player who have moved to Italian clubs that are found to be on the outside. There’ll be Huijsen style bargains to have for absolute certain.
Yeah but I’d say they probably did deserve it in the end with some of the mismanagement like refusing to let Alvaro Valles go back to Betis for €3m then him refusing a move to Villa in January and then Las Palmas terminating his contract and letting him go on a free
Aye madness that. And he was a proper keeper. From what I gather it’s a very political club and it costs them.
It's all very exciting. Transfer speculation is my favourite part of the year. If anyone has any inside gossip to confidentially share then please let me know. I'll only share it with everyone else and a few others.
What we have to remember here is we are all touting players from smaller clubs and smaller leagues. Let’s not overlook we got Enzo from Roma, a monster club, at £20million plus before we even had a clue we’d be PL. We are likely fishing in a far bigger pond than we all realise.
It's a really fine balance that they've got on their hands I think. Like you, I don't want to see too many players discarded, but there's no point in sticking with it if we're not remotely competitive. I think we need 20 players who can be called upon to compete without being totally shown up in that league. Right now I think we have 13 (including ELF) Patto, Hume, Cirkin, Ballard, O'Nien, Jobe, Le Feè Neil, Rigg, Roberts, Mundle, Isidor, Mayenda That leaves 7 signings needed for me at present. The difficulty I have is figuring out what we do with Alese and Huggins. They're the kind of players where we need to be ruthless and move on I think.
Apart from Rudoni and Hamer I’ve never heard of any of the loads of players named on here as possibles and as I read each post I want them all. It goes to show there are thousands of fantastic players all over the World. We know it’s going to be difficult next season but the difference this time is the 3 Amigo’s KLD, KSS and RLB. They are the best we’ve had for ages and KSS has done a fantastic job finding some gems so I expect some surprises to come.
I'm not in the Hamer fan club like some mind. I don't think he's what we need and I think his price would not be value for money. I expect Neil to play further forward next year with a more orthodox DM behind him. So to me, the CM spots are almost full with ELF, Neil and Rigg in there with 1 to replace Jobe, 1 possibly more experienced player (a PL Alan Browne) and then a DM specialist.
I did notice Ross Barkley barely got a look in at Villa this season. Really liked him at Luton. Wonder if a deal could be done assuming he's not on mega wages.
I’ve been saying all year that I think he will he seems to grow with every miss and it’s glorious to think about
Rudoni would be a smart replacement for Jobe mind. And the Coventry ****ing peasants would have a meltdown. Ha’waaaay the Rudoni.
At least we have the option to loan to the championship some of the fringe players who need games.. aleksic, jones, seelt. Need some quality and power through the team, hopefully rigg steps up in the middle now, can’t see him getting a sniff on the wing in the prem. Can see us bringing in 8+ and shifting a lot, wove got faith in a lot of this team to step up but they’re going to need help
I think there are those that surprise you so it’s hard to make a call but I think some in there will struggle. Roberts I think will struggle against stronger defenders and will be a liability by gifting the ball. I like both fullbacks but think they may struggle with the pace and ability they face running at them. We need to find players who’ll bring out their strengths of the others.
I would give Huggins a chance. He has looked a star when fit imo. If he is fit through pre season I would keep him.
