Interesting that he stresses that they all speak English.

When Arsene Wenger was at Arsenal, they had a rule that only English could be spoken during training , during matches and at club meetings etc. Always seemed right to me that.
Saddest thing I heard was Mowbray trying to learn Tim Buck Two or something <doh>

Any opinions on Sam Surridge?
I was all for getting him a few years ago - think we were in League One then or maybe newly promoted. Not a PL player though. Didn't even know he was still about - just found he's in the MLS.

Arokodare has shades of Onuachu about him both in the positives and the negatives

It would be good to have that type of profile striker so we can play direct if needs be, the big weakness for our current forwards is aerially

Still crossing everything for Guessand but it seems like it wont happen

So,genuine question, what do you think the reason might be.....salary,length of contract, buy out clause...where would contract negotiations flounder do you think?
Think there's been a few different rumours, I heard from someone who said its because he wanted a new challenge. I don't think any of us or the ITKs will know the exact reason

Contract negotiations can be really difficult, especially ones that will likely have a big wage increase involved

I really hope he stays though, as a Sunderland fan I'm always so proud seeing academy boys develop into 1st team regulars and he has the added of developing in to our captain

100% mate. Captaining us in the PL is a huge, new challenge for him I would have thought.

I love Mayenda but he’s still very raw, this season will be the true making of him though
Huge risk like, but I just think he's got something special. Time will tell though, can fully understand why fans would rather have someone with a relative proven record.
Aye. The only striker linked in my opinion that brings more than Mayenda will is the lad from Lyon. The rest I am not seeing much benefit from thh.

I do have doubts about Isidor in the prem if I am honest. I think he will get bullied too easily. So a striker is on my wishlist and the Lyon lad would have had me dancing with joy. Hope the club pull something out of the bag here. Or we get completely blown away by Abdullahi. I know very little, other than he looks a complete physical presence.
Isidor has to show a bit more this season. Thought his all round play was frustrating last year but got the goals to make amends, he wont get that many chances in front of goal this season. Other worry for me is, I dont think he looked that comfortable on the left (even though that was meant to be his position), hoping he can do a job if needed there especially during AFCON.
