Still all in on Mayenda me, so spending a big amount on a striker to come straight in was never one I was too bothered about. A project striker with a bit of experience would be fine for me. Centre back is where Id like the bigger fees (that £20m range) to go on now followed by a keeper. Then it will be cheaper options / frees / loans to fill out the rest of the squad. Still think there will be some high quality signings from the loan market, especially nearer the end of the window.
Don't worry pal. I love the flag pics and updates. I'm never offended it it turns out incorrect. Keep them coming.
So,genuine question, what do you think the reason might be.....salary,length of contract, buy out clause...where would contract negotiations flounder do you think?
One thing Ive noticed on the video montage of Tolo a few pages back is that most of his goals come from him being centrally in the box right between the posts which is where you want your striker to be. I reckon with the right coaching his finishing will improve even though he looks a capable finisher already in his highlights (not many scuffed finishes)
Time to focus defensive targets imo.if you don't concede you don't lose. It got Burnley off to a good start last season.
Aye. The only striker linked in my opinion that brings more than Mayenda will is the lad from Lyon. The rest I am not seeing much benefit from thh. I do have doubts about Isidor in the prem if I am honest. I think he will get bullied too easily. So a striker is on my wishlist and the Lyon lad would have had me dancing with joy. Hope the club pull something out of the bag here. Or we get completely blown away by Abdullahi. I know very little, other than he looks a complete physical presence.
Arokodare offers something completely different to Isidor and Mayenda which is why i'm all fo rit, would be great competition between those 3 imo
Of course it has to be tight at the back....but no-one survives in this league if they can't score goals. Our attacking play will ultimately decide our fate this season.
I am fearful of Belgian league strikers that are over 6ft 3 But to be optimistic, all it takes is one good season, even an anomaly
