think, at this point no new news, solid news is good news, I do see some of the fringe players leaving like Adil did, undercover of darkness
Contracts will do me, 10 years for big man and rigg, mundle Neil and cirkin on new deals too then I can wait a week for my monster centre half
I think they'll be moving heaven and earth to get the remaining targets in before Portugal. Then the focus will move to getting players out.
Things have been going really well.....not always the case with our beloved team....I'm an optimist by nature, but I'm bracing myself for a temporary setback. For example... if Neil and Cirkin aren't on the plane.
London to Stoke is about the same as Sunderland to Stoke as is Southampton ( which i thought would be further) as far as travel time goes.
Petrovic to bournemouth might be as straightforward, they are in talks over the payment structure which is a stumbling block...
I think cirkin is injured (shock) so won’t be on the plane, the club did an interview with Neil albeit a brief one when they came back so I have some faith he signs
The point about the contrasting situations is valid, but I don't think the vast majority of Sunderland fans were in that boat mind. Maybe social media gobshites and a vocal minority on forums.
Kudus and Gibbs White are good players but none of the top club will be the slightest bit concerned about Spurs this season. They are signings to nail down 8th place.
Too many clubs take this risk trying to get to the PL - it's just not worth risking the future of your club to do it I always said our way was ambitious, doing something different to the norm is ambitious and it's paid off. I always felt that we would get it right, signing young players doesn't always bring you instant success but if you sign the right players and give them the right environment to develop in then you get the longer term success. More teams will follow what we've done, a few started to do it now
