If it's resteictions on the number of signings uou van make then Forest are in deep ****. So it must just be restrictions in terms of our own wage bill / number of overall players. But we could always ship some out too.

I do get that ww.might not want to break yhe wage structure at this for a few individuals, as that could be disruptive ro rest of squad. So maybe it's also the personal demands that are holding us back from some signings, where the transfer fee might appear affordable but the player's own expectations are too high.
That would more than likely be true for the Chelsea players, probaly all touching the £200k per week mark.

Basically we’ve tried to scrimp and take the piss on the bigger targets and we’ve now moved on to Rafa’s Joselu.

We are prepared to pay £25-30m for an unproven French lad yet a proven England international we’ll only go to £40m - that’s piss taking and they know it.

My only flailing hope is that these preparations and ready to make bids are mere distractions of their intended targets.

Ive never got my head around this. £33m there for Ekitike, then every other target is just out of reach? Doesn’t make a ****ing lick of sense.

And I certainly don’t get this Joao Pedro link. He’s 21 in a few weeks and literally can’t score for toffee.

Agreed, particularly when Howe makes such a big issue of players needing to improve the group. Sarr I would understand, Dennis to a point, but Pedro? I think every one of us had to look him up, I thought he might be a midfielder but, no, he's a centre forward who couldn't get a game for Watford, and cannot score.

I've said it repeatedly, our scouting is ****ing shocking and they've left it far too late to change it. Maybe Howe will prove us wrong again, of course, but it just feels off at the moment.

What I really don't get from Watford's perspective is they sold Dennis for £20m, apparently Palace are looking to buy Sarr and they are open to offers. So their 2 main goalscorers. Yet the one they are refusing to budge on (for very similar money) is this Pedro, who can't score.

Watford fans seem fairly united in their agreement that Pedro is the player that they would be most upset to lose. Regard him as having the highest potential and also as being similar to but more consistent than Richarlison was when he played for them. They also say he is going to count as a homegrown player shortly.

If Aouar goes to Forest for 15 million that's an absolute piss take and we should be straight in their. It reeks of amatuer hour so far.

We’re amateurs

Either:

1. The press are just coming up with names as they know we want a striker, or

2. The club is cleverly confusing the press and other teams with a carefully laid out plan of scattering lots of names around and 'preparing' public bids, while secretly negotiating some cracking deals behind rhe scenes that take us all by surprise, or
