DCL falls into that category and howe might take that punt because only this time last year he was hot property. They can't just go out buying Nunez or at least that's by view atm.

I think many nufc fans are setting themselves up to be disappointed this summer. The club have repeatedly told us that it's going to be done slowly and we need to have patience.

There's some medium i think. It was the same with Man City before they could get the absolute top names.

What i mean is we're not gonna get Messi and Lewandowski yet, but at the same time we will see a transition from signings like Jacob Murphy, Jamaal Lewis, Isaac Hayden and Joselu.

DCL startes last season on fire then faded significantly, then has been injured just about all this season, i think we'd be signing another Carroll with him. I've a feeling they'll put big bids in for decent strikers, just hope its not DCL.

Trippier just said today it could take 5 years. It's how longs a piece of string really, but right now at this point i don't see nufc buying strikers when their stocks that high.. They'll probably take a punt on a young hot prospect and someone that's stock has fallen considerably.

That's my hypothesis.

I'm not keen on flogging max but if they find someone prepared to cough 30 to 40 ms they can get two better players for that price.

In amongst the bullshit about Nunez Paqueta etc the nketiah link lurks.

I can see that one happening actually because Arsenal are after another striker and he'll now be wanting 1st team football.

Think I'll stick nketiah in my prediction list.

Just as I suspected - could go either way this one.. His stocks fallen and he's more interested modelling, not he could just have had a bad season in a poor side and have been injured in top of that.

He's an improvement on what we have. Hopefully won't be costing too much
