I hope not, he turned to me in the 2nd half and said "Look how Lascelles is marshalling that defence"
You quite conveniently turned your head away from the action when Lascelles strode in majestically to clear the danger
It's quite clear to me your in denial about not drinking, those bottles of coke you carry quite clearly have a quarter bottle of vodka in them if you think Lascelles did anything "majestically"
I've never rated him. Bought him on Footy manager a few years ago and he used to miss sitter after sitter after sitter. Never forgiven him.
He was outstanding in Germany. Scored loads of goals coming in from the wing and had so much pace. Not sure whether Chelsea expected him to be a clinical striker because that wasn't his game and if we are looking for a Wilson replacement this is not him. I would be happy with a loan deal for him though and if it doesn't work out let him go back at the end of it. If it came down to a choice between him and Maddison to buy I would go with Maddison. I realised yesterday in that 2nd half we still have midfield problems, although it might have just been a fitness issue. He is sort of what we thought Joelinton was going to be but never had the pace or any calmness in front of goal. Joelinton still baffles me by how good he looks in that midfield role but if ever he gets caught in the final 3rd it's like someone has swapped his boots to the wrong feet. There was one moment yesterday when he accelerated away in midfield, got to 30yds out and then started stumbling over.
Anyway its clear why we have been having to lowball our bids for players: https://www.newcastleworld.com/spor...=push&utm_campaign=2022-07-29-How-good-does-t Chippy will be pleased with the major toilet upgrades:
