Good player when fit but that's not very often. I suspect he will go to whoever pays him the most rather than get gametime.
even if we wanted to go for him and he wanted to come, his wages would have to drop significantly from what he was on, and its likely any other clubs interested would probably pay him more.
certainly good enough for any championship team and i think could still be handy in the premier...there will be at least one team prepared to throw some decent wages his way in a gamble to get promoted, would be over the moon to see him here but he won't drop to our wage structure.
I suggested him as a free agent earlier on this thread. He is a very good player and I think will do a good job somewhere. I am now not so sure he is what we need, or will want. Evans seems to be getting better and is a big influence on the pitch. I think Matete is still an important player too as a deputy. I am not sure we need to step into the free agent market anymore.
Wouldnt be against delph as still think we need an experienced player in the middle of the park.
Also quite happy with the squad the way it is, think we have so many players with huge upside.
I know weve signed some really good players since speakman n Harvey came on board but have to admit the signing of batth might be the most important. We used to be dominated by opponents forwards until he came in, hats off to the recruitment team

There had been a little bit of chat about Henderson coming back to Sunderland when he leaves Liverpool (free transfer?)..
Would be absolutely buzzing with that bring him home.
and tbf we get to the prem and I don’t think he wants to play for anyone else!
