thing is, i don't know KS so find it hard to base an opinion on the man and i have always been the same in that i prefer to meet a person and make my own mind up...he is 'doing the job' as far as i am concerned, couple of blips along the way otherwise so far so good. i always go back to one of the biggest 'pantomine villains' we ever had at the club in bains, he was disliked for what he did but the simple truth is that he was brought in to cut costs and unfortunately for us was damn good at his job...did he honestly care what we all thought of him, i very much doubt he let it bother him because if he did he could not have done his job. i hate bullies and the very worst of them all are those who hide behind a made up name and remain anonymous online knowing there is little chance the person they are calling will ever know who they are because in real life they would never have the gonads to do it face to face...if you cant be nice to others and accept a little harmless gossip then please get off social media because you honestly are not 'social'
Yeah, that was certainly how I took the quotes in the local press yesterday. They were clearly trying for a couple of players, including an experienced goalkeeper, on deadline day. There are still other options available so surprised he’s ruled it out. If we want continue to play 3-4-1-2 as we are we’re short in a couple of positions. I’d expect us to move to 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1at some point as squad is built for that approach.
I’d be more than delighted to see the lad back. Past his best aye but I’m sure still more than capable. He loved it here too, remember him coming to games a few times after he left. I also agree with earlier in the thread, Dajaku has a talent and if we can bring him on can be a cracking player. You don’t fluke into Bayern Munich. He’s raw and direct, but he’s also confident looking and a handful. I’m interested to see what Mowbray brings out of him.
Dajaku is still crazy young really. We treat him likes he’s older because he came from abroad and was immediately handed the number shirt. he still has time (if needed) to go out on loan for a season and come back next year, play out of his skin and get a huge money move anywhere in Europe. Would be silly to write him off whilst he’s learning
I'm a gaffer myself, and I can confirm that, to some of the people working under you, you're only as good as your last favour.
Another that moved to a new country very young has had injuries so hasn’t had it easy, patience needed with him
I don't know mate, quite possibly. I'm not sure what we'd do if anything happened to Cirkin long term, Alese I suppose. Not sure he's ready but he'd have to be.
People come on to the forum of their own choice they have made that choice , they have the choice of what they read , what they believe , what they choose to disbelieve it’s all about opinions . The people that post on here I believe are genuine honest SAFC fans who have the best interest of the club at heart , needless to say we have our fair share of moaners and doom mongers with a smattering of infiltrators who have nothing better to do than cause disruption to some threads . However you read what they have to say accept their input or disregard their input it’s a forum it’s all about opinions good or bad as I said earlier we ALL have our opinions .
Danny Rose would be a horrific signing. He's massively fallen out of love with the game (not convinced he ever really loved it) and at 32 he's absolutely at the wrong end of his career. He won't displace Cirkin at LCB and he certainly won't replace Clarke as LWB. Would be a bonkers signing on big wages
Yep, I’d agree. He’s been on the decline for years. It’s an easy link to make, we won’t be interested IMO. Imagine his recent wage? Probably 5x our highest earner.
I remember being at St James when we beat them 0-3 and Rose was immense. He’s probably the best full back I’ve seen for Sunderland, he was quality that season. Definitely has some issues though. And went to play for them c**ts. I wouldn’t say he’s a lost cause, I just can’t see where he’d fit in. I’m sure he could help Cirkin improve as a player but what’s the point in bringing him here to sit on the bench and pay him probably more than anyone else is on or close to the highest earner.
Makes perfect sense really. Accept an inflated bid for the 2nd best striker in the league and then see if you can poach the best from a Championship rival. Our model works by getting Premier League clubs to overpay though, so it's unlikely to be a successful "plot" from Blackburn.
