Guys I'm going to outline what might be happening here...

Stoke make offer

we have to let him talk to them

he calls them on phone - it gets leaked wrongly that he's talking to them in person

he turns them down

PLEASE

anything else and he's dead to me :D

Speakman must save it.

I'm with you if he has spoken to them kn the phone and is now speaking to us to see if we will give him a new deal he is fine by me, even if he has kept the option open with Stoke.

Any point he gets in a car to go to Stoke he can **** off.

Cant see a way back for AN as he's obviously interested in stoke and not 100% committed ... timing is bad who will sign for a club without a manager...
Really? What brings you to that conclusion? He hasn’t travel to stoke. The club have to allow stoke to tak to him contractually. If he turns them down and stays, what precisely has he done wrong to give him “no way back”. He’s still in Sunderland at the minute

Its more the disruption and lack on continuity that would be a problem for me. Think we need a manager here for a long spell to build what the club want. Thought we had that with Neil even on a rolling contract
