My anger at Alex Neil is purely if he's travelling to meet them If he's talking to them on the phone I'm fine. Keith and others may have jumped gun if local people saying he's still on site
If he has spoken to them just to say he's not interested then fair enough but that would have been announced pretty much straight away. The fact that he appears to want to speak to them is different, the day before a big game too makes it look even worse. If he thinks they may be a better option than here then good riddance.
I understand what you are saying but if Neil hasn’t wanted to sign any contract other than the rolling 12 month one he’s on what could the club have do about it. He maybe wants the contract he’s on exactly for this type of situation.
It doesn't have to be one or the other, you can be pissed off with the clubs handling of his contract and also how quick he couldn't wait to jump ship.
Unless Neil insisted in having that clause in before he signed. We were league one and not looking like promotion was on when he came. Covering his bases.
Genuinely gutted with this news. There must be more to come out on why he would choose to leave, no disrespect to Stoke at all but something stinks here.
