Well, I never saw that coming.

Some people will still ask why we are signing a kid rather than players for the team now, for all we know the lad could be tremendous. It's certainly is an exciting time.

I think you’re going to have to accept and come to terms with that not being the model that the club is embracing. At least not having any outlay for those types of players.

There are no ones for the future any longer. The future is now.

It may mean that we aren’t challenging at the top end of the table but we’ll have a period of consolidation (which the club have explicitly stated is the intention) whilst these players develop and the squad’s value increases exponentially.

Really interesting signing I reckon. In the past it'd have been a complete shot in the dark by the club but with the setup we have now for us to reach across the world and pick this one particular lad makes me think he's a special talent.

Its brilliant forward planning targeting young players of this calibre, as long as we supplement the squad with players that can make a difference now we will be fine.

Exciting signing. Left footed as well, extra balance in the squad. All good for me. I love seeing young players get a chance and I believe we are viewed as a club now that wants to develop young talent. Great for our academy reputation, and great for young lads like this one (and maybe the french lad). Remember Alan Hansen once said you win nothing with kids and was wrong. HAWAY THE LADS i say.

I think we are a good bunch when it comes to backing young lads mate. A bit of inconsistency will always be there, and inexperience, but I reckon we are a good crowd for making them feel 10 feet tall.
