Isn't there a rule anyway that you can't loan 2 players from same club? People saying Forest can't get Garner on loan from Utd as they have Henderson. Therefore we showed our hand when we signed Sims on loan.
Just in the EPL.

Much in the same way that if Jack Diamond decides to go to Fleetwood or Harrogate rather than try to break through with us, is that bottling it?
No - he needs to play and wants to prove he can play mens football week in week out. And he's 4 years younger than Broadhead who's never had the chance to.
Anyway I'll stop spam posting now![]()
Completely different thing that like mate. You would have to use him going from Everton to us last season and Wigan this season instead of trying to break into theor first team him bottling it. No its not.
If he has changed his mind about coming here cause Simms had one good game bottling it? Yes!
Now he might have changed his mind for a host of other reasons but from what AN has said along with Prehab26 saying pretty much that it seems likely he has bottled it!
He hasn't trusted his own ability to force his way in to the team, that is bottling it!

there's no way he based it on that one game
Spot on in my opinion. A world cup for any player is massive. I have said before Rob Page is almost certainly given him some advice and guidelines on what he needs yo do.I’m not sure bottler is apt mind. He hasn’t got much room to manoeuvre and wants to make the Wales squad. If he has chosen Wigan as opposed to us thinking he has more chance of making the World Cup squad, that suggests the opposite. I think if there was no World Cup in a few months, his decision may have been the opposite. We will never know, he never hid on the pitch though
What do you reckon AN was getting at then?
Imo he was doubting himself before then but was still looking likely to come.

Broadhed will be reaching peak centre forward years by next summer.
If it doesn't go well at Wigan, it won't be the bigger Championship clubs that are looking at him then, so unless that is seen as taking a risk ( which it could be) he is almost deferring a decision, assuming we, and possibly others agreed a fee.
Good luck to him, but choosing a club who were late twice paying wages in the summer. It won't affect him as a loanee, but they are awful signs.
He's a good player, and almost certainly played the best football of his life here. It might not be quite the same somewhere else, and it would clearly have been garden to start here than last season.
Looks to me like he's chosen a comfort blanket.
AN could just as likely been blowing sunshine up Stewart and Simms arse to be honest. Or maybe he is pissed off at having been jilted at the last minute and he firing off. Managers come out with all kinds of psychology when talking to the media and it is notable Alex Neil hasnt gone as far as to say it is definitely the reason. What do you reckon AN was getting at then?

If so, even more reason to avoid him. He'll be looking after himself.
Yeh you could definitely argue there were better options than Wigan. But as you say he's reaching peak years and he's never played as a first choice player anywhere in his career. He needed to go somewhere he was going to be the main guy. League One wouldn't have been testing himself enough so he had to go bottom of championship. At which point Wigan is about right?
Personally I wouldn’t have wanted him on a permanent on anything other than a minimal contract with high performance bonuses.
We'll see. But late wages are an awful flashing red light. A nice safety net of his Everton contract protests him, butmight cost him in the long run.
You can’t loan 2 players from same club if you are in the PL. doesn’t apply to EFL clubsIsn't there a rule anyway that you can't loan 2 players from same club? People saying Forest can't get Garner on loan from Utd as they have Henderson. Therefore we showed our hand when we signed Sims on loan.
Bob said three weeks ago he wasn’t coming so the Simms and LND playing well is ****e it was decided long agaI would have loved him here mate and at the end of the day it's his decision and I wish him well and will be grateful to him because I honestly believe without him last season we would still be in league one.
We will never know how far negotiations were but I think AN was expecting him to sign . It may well have coincided with the result at the weekend and it is just a case of Wigan were interested, he's probably going to make more appearances , closer to home and we can't forget its a loan so he will still be getting the wage he's on at Everton that to me is a list of good reasons why he would pick Wigan over us.
I wasn't having a go at the lad just picking up on what AN said, that may be a bit of sour grapes on his part if he thought he had him in the bag because if we had those 3 strikers on the books IMHO we would have had the deadliest strike force in the league
