I think our interest in Sanderson ended when Wright and Ballard signed.

In any case I'd have serious doubts about anyone choosing to go to a club in a serious mess and no manager. Players always claim they signed because of the manager and the style of play they have. Sanderson hasn't a clue who'll own the club, never mind manage it.

Geography was his only consideration wasn't it.

I think it’ll be a relegation scrap for Sanderson.

He was decent but not outstanding. Probably slightly above league 1level but not to the point I’d want him to push us on in the championship. I said the same when he played for us and got quite a bit of stick for it
I would guve you stick again if I wasnt such a nice guy!. Sanderson was excellent for us. He and ONien were the basis of the 11 Johnson got into touching distance of automatic, despite it being a Parkinson squad. Sanderson was the main man defensively and it may not have been a coincidence that his injury coincided with our fall off in form towards the end of the season.

In my opinion Sanderson was very good. He was aggressive, quick, good in the air and can pass the thing. I am looking forward to seeing Ballard, but I would have had Sanderson as well and I reckon Neil would have been good for him.

I think we'll play a back 3 of Balllard, Wright and Batth, and we'll have Cirkin, Winchester, Gooch and Huggins playing the wingback roles.

We still need at least 1 more CB to come in.

Potentially - but we were awful with 3 at the back at times last season and if we go for that with 2 in the middle of the park it means we don’t have a no.10 so that’s Evans and Pritchard in midfield. Neil improved us massively playing that system like, LJ couldn’t seem to get us playing when he tried it.

Saying that every time we got walloped we were playing 2 at the back now that I think about it, al just go back to sleep :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Or a pay cheque

100%. Reading and Birmingham are in trouble this season.

Norwich to win the league, Birmingham, reading and Rotherham to be relegated 150/1.. Keen to see what’s going on at Wigan, could be worth swapping them for Rotherham for better odds.

I'd counter that it was McGeady & Wyke who got us close

TBH I don't think the ownership/takeover is certain.

The club are in a mess and look aimless.

Sanderson will be 24, iirc, when he ends his loan there and it's likely he'll finish in the Championship, perhaps even L1.

He still won't be in the Wolves team and needs to very careful about his next decision.

<laugh><laugh><laugh>

He was a decent defender. But he was poor alongside anyone except O’Nien. He tried in different defensive set ups and we failed. Agree him and O’Nien were our best pair but Sanderson was poor in games outside that imo.

be a boring world if we all had the same opinions. As I said, I think he’ll be an OK championship player and is a bit better than league 1. But I wouldn’t play him ahead of any of our defence which finished last season

Are those odds genuine? Definitely worth a cheeky fiver?

What’s the odds like if you add Boro promotion & Sheff Wed promotion (from league one) to it?

Yep! Haven’t knocked one up myself yet but might have a daft one with Norwich to be promoted, Sunderland and Boro play offs, Burnley bottom half and Birmingham/Reading relegated.
