not a chance he signs for Cardiff, imo.

If we want him enough, he’ll be back.
I'd certainly hope we would be in pole position out of all the Championship clubs. There were a few moans about him prior to the play-offs but I'd say he generally knows he's well liked here, he's familiar with the club and the manager and has mates in the team. So if he is available I would suspect the only barrier would be if one of the other clubs make a ridiculous offer.

Like to think we'd get Jack if we can afford him. Can't see him going to Cardiff if all else is equalish, but Sheff Utd is a possibility. He's a Yorkshire lad so you never know

On SSN this morning that Borini has been offered to Sunderland and he’s willing to take a pay cut to come back. Avail for less than £1m. Maybe not such nonsense after all.. Dependant on wages, I’d take him because of how many positions he can cover. I think we’d be daft not to take up the offer of bringing him in when we currently only have 1 striker and no cover for Clarke providing we get him.

I know a few people have mentioned Defoe coming back being a nightmare which is a fair point, but Borini has been playing regular football at a much higher level than Defoe sitting on the bench in the SPL - and isn’t nearly 40.
It would be a no for me - the best he would be IMHO would be a back up/ utility forward player. Age 31 and starting to naturally slow down. I didn't think he actually set the place on fire last time and will have lost some pace. I get the argument about experience being injected into the squad but we have been burned by so many journeymen before it would make me very nervous.

Must just be me who can’t see Phillips going straight into their starting Xl.

They normally play 3 in the middle and that’s 1 holding mid which is Rodri who’s arguably the best in the world in that position right now, there’s no way he’s getting dropped. Then KDB and another in the middle, normally Bernardo or Gundogan. Would you drop either of those for Phillips? Certainly has more energy but he’s better suited as a holding midfielder not a creative one, and they don’t need another on the pitch.

Not just you mate.
I don’t see it either.
