I love Winniesta. If we sell him based on your suggestion I shall strip to the waist* and wrestle you into submission
Winchester is a leader an I reckon Neil loves that. He will get his chance this year. Whether he nails down a solid plave ai dont know. Time will tell, but no need to get rid now, let him prove his worth or otherwise...

Any news on Stewart he looked happy enough on the training pics but seems to have gone quiet on a new contract

Derby have a lot of work to do this summer but they still should be very competitive in L1 next year. A few decent signings today…

A quick look on transfermarkt you can see how stagnant the market is at the minute - I’d say no club has really improved their squad from last season. Norwich have retained most of their squad so far but I’d expect them to lose a couple - think they’ll win the league though. WBA signing John Swift is great business but they’ve lost Sam Johnston which is a huge loss and they were horrific under Bruce. Probably end up eating my words but I think Burnley will be bottom half. Can’t see them spending a lot of money and they’re replacing bags of premier league experience with league one players and loans plus a new manager who’s done nothing in his only managerial role. Watford have lost some key players as have Blackburn.

Obviously still very early days and clubs are waiting for Prem teams to do their business but some of the bigger clubs in the league have a lot of first team players to not only replace but to try and better.

I was speaking to a scout at a European club the other day and he was saying that transfers across Europe are taken so much longer to get done this summer compared to previous years

I think he's a real character and was gutted when he was injured, more for him than me tbh.

I hope he makes me eat my words tbh.
I wasn’t convinced when he signed, thought he was poor and out of his depth. He proved me wrong and I was over the moon for the kid because he’s a really good pro and a good character. I think the championship will be a step too far for him. If I was Derby or Shef Wed I would be trying to get him in

Agreed, I dont think he is good enough to step up with us. I hope he gets sold but goes to a good team in League 1 as he seems a great lad

Big difference between Ipswich last year and Derby this year… Ipswich already had a sizeable squad, Derby don’t. They’re desperate for players to come in

Was more meaning they just went for anyone, agree Derby are desperate for players through the door even just to stabilise, they need to make sure they get a squad of the right ones though or they will be in more financial bother when they try to get the right ones in.

Having said that, Wigan were in admin (i think when they arrived in L1?) soon as they could also appeared to be going for everyone & it worked. That also highlighted how ****e of a job we made of getting out of L1 with those who had no clue until KLD came in.

Still think Ross would have took us up if we hadnt messed on with that daft cup....i have a feeling letting the board know he wasnt interested & would be fielding kids to the end was not an option. I know we playes kids during great deal of run

See Maguire is looking for a new club, Clockerty is having a chuckle at the Lincoln fans reactions on Twitter as we speak.
Scored 4 league goals for Lincoln last season, 3 of them against Lee Johnson to prove a point.

When he has fire in his belly, he’s handy at league one level. However he clearly could not be arsed the other 45 games of the season and did feck all.

There is a player I could never warm to. Had undoubted talent, but showed it once in a blue moon. Attitude issues in my opinion. I wonder how many of his ex clubs remember him fondly?
So sad. In his pomp he had ability in abundance. Probably good enough for a top championship club. But he’d have to play 8 out of 10 at that ability level. He played 1 in 20!! If that. Sad waste of talent. Not missed at all by anyone other than my parents!!
