Don't know how reliable the source is, but JC comes into my local often. Spoke to him a few weeks back, and he loved his loan.

Just back from local, and a few of the younguns were in who share a WhatsApp group with JC. They’ve said it’s a bit more than 3.5, but that he’s told Conte he wants away, and wants to come to SAFC. Conte said fine, and has made him train on his own.

I agree with the last bit, trouble is Stewart is pretty much no.1. Would a proven championship striker be happy to sign knowing he'd start off as essentially back up when we play with one up front?
I think most footballers think they’re good enough to be first choice or at least play regularly, arrogance about your own ability is pretty much a prerequisite for being a success.

Sitting watching the u19's european championship final and some of these Israelian lads are v. good Wonder if we scouting any off them.
They played some very tidy football, a few looked good enough to have decent careers, their goal scorer looked good.

This man could, quite literally, do anything he fancied in any part of the world.

Yet he sits in grubby little stadiums watching L1 football and listening to supporters griping on about the pitch, the tannoy, the staff, etc.

You could forgive him for wanting to buy a super yacht and sail it around F1 venues or down to Marseille for the games, not forgetting the Bahamas when it's a bit nippy.

But he's committed himself to sorting out a mess of a club in the far NE, not just throwing a bit of cash down and signing a bunch of temporary players like Roy Keane did.

We're now attracting hungry young players with ambition and quality ...

... I get why people find it all hard to grasp, personally I'm sitting back and loving it all.
It's been crying out for this approach for years, buying young talented players who can develop into better players, instead of the usual journeyman

Think you’re going to eating your words come the end of the window then because we’ve definitely bid over £1m for Rudoni but they want £1.5m and we’ve got an offer of £3.5m in for Clarke which I believe will go through with a sell on clause.

Anyone who goes to the match and watched Clarke will tell you he’s got bags of talent and if you think otherwise then football really isn’t your sport. He’s quick, beats his man effortlessly and his ball control is next level especially when you compare to someone like Dajaku. He just needs a good run of games and the casuals will realise just how good he is. Spurs didn’t pay £10m for nothing.
The bid for Rudoni was 500k plus bonuses.

Yea Came from monkwearmouth academy at 15. Been on the radar of a lot of prem clubs shows a huge change in the running of the club

Exactly this, we looking very positive tranfer wise targetting & bringing in good young players....but it is absolutely MASSIVE if we stop our best young talent leaving...shows the huge work in background paying off as were now turning heads that were a good option to stay at.

These young kids are crucial to our 5+ year plan, obviously if outstanding could be in before then...its shaping up well top to bottom of the club...fingers crossed he def signs

If we get Clark then we will be almost as strong as we were when we finished last season.
Ballard would replace Doyle.
Broadband may or may not be here.

Even with Clark we only have one LW now that McGeady has gone.

We are doing all the right things (Gooch/Patterson/Wright/Roberts) so I’m confident the next ‘new’ signings will be the right ones.
Clark looks like it will happen.
Rudoni probable.
It will be exciting when we get all the new lads in because it appears we are going for the right types.
I’m feeling more confident with our management team now than I have for ages and Alex Neil is doing all the right things.

I’m sure we will finish in the top half but where exactly I don’t know.
I do know we are going in the right direction.
