Aye. and it's job done for him. He got us promoted. He's not of the calibre to get us promoted again. He could absolutely do a job in the championship and I'd love him to stay. But at this stage of his career if he can double his money he absolutely should.

yeh they signed him and Kabak on the same day. Always struck me that they signed Davies in case the Kabak deal fell through but then it didn’t so they ended up with two
John Ruddy linked, easy link to make with AN working with him at Norwich but would make huge sense, would be a great number 2 to Patto, also free agent
From memory Davies going to Liverpool was why Sheffield Utd wouldn't allow us to sign Sanderson

He'd be an excellent addition. He's exactly the right kind of profile keeper we need in my opinion.
We need someone prepared to support Patterson's development and to ably step in when needed. My dream signing would have been Ben Foster, but that was perhaps a bit ambitious (to expect him to be happy as a number 2 in the championship). Ruddy will be a more than capable option.
