decent at championship level you'd think

only played 7 games last season on loan at Preston (from Cardiff), so his stock is low

He kinda falls into the Pritchard category in that Cardiff paid £11m for him in the Premier League but his confidence has taken a massive dive since relegation and Cardiff fans hate him
Anyone without a blue tick and uses [HASHTAG]#sunderland[/HASHTAG]fc as the hashtag can do one

CM. He’d get in ahead of O’Nien and Evans all day long… not that it matters, he’s at Norwich now and will be going for promotion.
Would tend to disagree though I am sure Norwich with or without him would be one of the favourites for a top 6 place , never seem settled at Newcastle in any case so I think we could do better if we were looking for midfield players .

We are apparently interested in Dan Ballard centre half from Arsenal who spent last season on loan at Milwall.
That would be a cracking signing and one that would fit the profile where I could see us spending money. Young and with potential to improve. I’d expect there’d be a few clubs interested in him.

Matt Target signing permanently for the Mags. This simply can't be true because the Mags at work just last week have told me that players like him are "levels below" what they will be signing. I'll let Matt know.

One of them at work was on yesterday about how he expects them to spend £100 million in this transfer window. And about the same in the one afterwards.

Ojo and Woodburn both released from Liverpool, once both really highly rated as youngsters needing a fresh start by the sounds of things. Could fit our profiling of players although they wont be short of offers.

We may get a better picking from the Man City young lads this season as well, they must be pleased with the season Doyle just had with us, fills them with confidence that we improve and give experience to some good players.

Agreed. They’ll be over the moon with the amount of games Doyle played here at 17/18 years old.

I wouldn’t mind the other Doyle on loan. We need an improvement in midfield and he seemed to do well at Cardiff at the back end of last season.

Tommy Doyle is fb. Would rather he came in than Callum personally. Callum needs a year at U23 level after what would have been a very valuable year for him last year

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Callum Doyle get another L1 loan next season. The year with us would’ve done him wonders, he’s got loads of potential…
