@BBCnewcastle
BBC Radio Newcastle understands Ross Stewart and Dennis Cirkin both have Grade Three tears.

Stewart out for at least 4-8 weeks but realistically probably 12.

Crikin will be out until new year.

Do we believe Barnsey. This for me would be a right mood killer if it is the case.

Barnsey full of **** then. No wonder he has been ostracised.

They think it will be 8 weeks minimum. Then a couple to get back up to speed. You're talking about the best part of 3 month. Proper ****ter.

The thing that worries me is how you managed to cause this injury:emoticon-0114-dull:
......im just hoping we never fallout & yer put a spell on me.

Go please put a death one on Putin so the world can return to normal....Thank in advance if yer can

Ross injury is gonna be 10 _12 weeks so with world Cup time off, he will be back just in time for Xmas transfer window.
We need 2 free agents to get us over this period

Didn't even consider the world cup break. Just thought along the lines of the rehab side of things.

Any idea if we are looking at free agents or just happy to made do with what we have?

Good likelihood any FA’s will need 3-4 weeks to get match fit too.
The club already planning on some behind doors games for the young lads. A free agent would benefit from that. I am not convinced the club would go down that route mind, but you never know.

We don't need any free agents. By the time they were up to speed we'd have Stewart back anyway. We have young, hungry players at the club who now will/may get the opportunity to sieze the chances which fall to them. We several attacking option including going back to the one up front supported by attacking midfielders which we used previously. Pritchard, Roberts, Clarke, Gooch have goals in them. Michut plays across the front. Amad is a foward who is already familiar with English football. Get Max Thomson on the bench, he's 21, if he's good enough, he's old enough.

2 weeks for Cirkin is good news, 6-8 for Stewart not so good but he'll be back for a couple of 'off the bench' appearances before the WC break hopefully, then have a further break for more rehab/recovery.

Let's not **** ourselves unnecessarily, eh?

why would we need two free agents? I can see one at most. I think thats unlikely.

Amad, Dajaku, Thompson can all have a go at filling the gap
Just looked at the free agents list and wouldn’t take any of them rather try develop our own as you say, big step up from under 23s bud Thompson has looked good in the little I’ve seen so far

RS is one of our best players and it's a blow that he'll be missing for a while, but I'm not entirely sure that we won't be able to form a decent attack from existing resources rather than having to go out and acquire a free agent. We have a number of very mobile, skilful attacking players in Roberts,Dajaku,Diallo and Michut.....although we've not seen anything much from the last three......and if we can get one of them playing off Simms...and Simms accepts the responsibility which now falls on him...I would give it a go and see where it gets us.

8 Weeks takes us to 31st October if you take the Boro game as the start point. We have three games after that on 2nd, 5th and 12th Nov. Realistically it's going to be 12th December.

As long as we pick up a few wins, there is nowt to fret about.

A team as young and new to the division as this one is an outside bet at best for top six anyway IMO.

But we aren't short of creative players, and the manager now at least has a week instead of five minutes to try and get the right blend.

Maybe we could have done with a centre forward who could have helped out here, but it would have had to have been a player we would have signed anyway; you can't sign a player for three months.

But we have got what we've got, so on we go
