Dont know if its where Wigan are headed....but if they are paying top dollar wages...bearing in mind they have gome bust before....bizarre how clubs get in bother....then do exactly the same thing but expect something different to happen....odd
A number of their ‘strikers’ play wide or as a 10. Broadhead will get plenty of game time at Wigan (when fit!)
There will no first teamer at Sunderland on anything like as little as £3k a week. I doubt there were any near it last season. Premier League clubs pay daft money, and the longer they have been in it, the more and dafter they pay . Young under 20 players routinely get more than £3k a week.
Agreed, he was crap for us and looking at his stats he's been crap for everyone. Probably a player in the Rodwell mould (not as bad though) who has the ability and physique but doesn't have the spirit.
£3k a week can be got in League two. Matete was in league one anyway, and he will have moved here after a £1/2 m transfer on more than £3k. Hume possibly mind, bearing in mind he came from a low paying league. But at our level, £5k a week would be a poor wage.
Because our 2 strikers are better than those you have listed for Wigan. Broadhead is their best striker
dont know how many they released at the end of the season but they do appear to be taking the very same 'scattergun approach' of multi signings as it 'worked' last season...surely they looked at ipswich who took the very same approach and failed miserably. broadhead so far looks the only real quality they have added and that is based on what could be his best ever season (with us), they paid well over the odds on wages for wyke based on one good season (with us) i would guess they are pretty much borderline and are hoping to have a major fire sale and cash in on players 'with championship experience'.
Jarrod Branthwaite played a fair few games for Evertons first team last season unless I'm mistaken with somebody else. In terms of rumoured salaries they personally mean **** all to me. Some are saying Broadhead is on £32k per week some are saying he's on less than 3k per week I have zero concept of what a premiership reserve player is on and frankly I don't really care. Broadhead is for me old news. Yes he helped us out of League one for which I will always be grateful but football is a fickle industry he is no sooner gone than forgotten for me. We've seen Simms play 1 game for us and folk are already saying he is better than Broadhead which proves this fact. Players to me are commodities that come and go none of which can ever be seen to be bigger than the club. Not that I think anybody ever thought that about Broadhead mind. We bring in players and get rid of players it's part and parcel of being a football club all I ask is anyone representing our club gives there all and has a relative level of competence at doing so. Not having a go at you though mate just this whole Broadhead wage thing is doing my ****ing napper in.
He is easily their best best number 9 for me. Will play for them. I reckon they will cash in on Keane.
Ego of a new owner. "I'll spend but do it right" Or, taking the risky approach that paid off last season. Either way, they assume they are going to run the club better than the last guy.
Disagree about what? My understanding is as I've posted. Every day AN gets up he's got a year left on his contract......
I’ve had unconfirmed reports we might be signing someone between the ages of 18 and 35. He can play possibly at the back. Although contracting reports say he might play in midfield or attack. Either way it’s no news
If he's on a rolling contract, this current one will finish next year and then a new one will automatically renew as long as both sides are okay with it. He's got 6 months left of his contract when he wakes up today.
