He'd be an amazing signing. Team game, 31, played at a high level for years. I'd be chuffed. He'd bring loads to the team and dressing room. Proper signing. Can't all be bairns

I've just checked. He's played 30 league games once in the last 6 seasons. He broke his leg a few years back and is now over 30.
I'm not doubting his quality but that was years ago when he was at Everton. Obviously if it happens I'll back the lad and hope it works out, I've just got reservations about it.

I'm like you...would prefer to see an update on Cory rather than what appears to be a like for like replacement. However, I'm in the backing Alex camp.....if he's happy with it...so am I.
I've no idea how good he is or what his game strengths are. I would trust Alex Neil would be bringing him in for the right reasons.

Mcgeady speaks highly of McCarthy at 47 mins in when discussing a potential transfer here. Also earlier on in the video he briefly mentions that he wasn't keen on the sporting director etc here.
Another thing of note, despite Derek Ferguson being largely ****e for us he can't speak highly enough of the club.
