Why would they be second fiddle tho? Surely we need competition all over the park?

well yeh. But it also just doesn’t suit our model. A player with championship experience we’d be happy to sign would have limited resale value (vs transfer spend) and high wages.

Have a good think about that one, Darren…

It sounds like a certain striker who was once a great fit for a club that gave him a new lease of life after also being frozen out by their parent club, i wonder why he also decided to move to a different club instead of staying at the club that got him back to where he wanted to be. :emoticon-0138-think

Ironically Lampard is an official genius if remember correctly.

just checked. IQ of 150. Means nothing when it comes to football, but it triggered my memory when you mentioned Hawking.

150 is extremely high, musk and gates are 160. Largest percentage of peoples IQ in the UK is 100 or just over.

All that IQ and still can't figure out that when Gerrard goes, you have to stay.

Bonkers signing by Forest. 200k pw with zero sell on value. As soon as it looks like it's going south for them in Jan/Feb, Lingard will down tools and protect himself for injury ahead of his next move
Where's this 200k pw come from, the article I read said he was getting £80k pw

Lingard not just gone to Forest cause he’ll be playing every week and that’s what he needs to do to have a chance of going to the World Cup? It’s clear Southgate fancies him, picked him whenever he could, so if he’s fit and playing he’s got a very good chance of going ‍♂️

Friendlies are definitely just for fitness - but I’d argue that totally writing off the results when they’re awful is foolish - obviously dependant on who’s starting, how far the teams are into their pre-season, how many subs are made etc.

Remember getting walloped 5-0 off Celtic before the awful championship season and we could all see just how bad we were..

can’t recall anyone receiving the level of booing which was game long and the loudest , I think everyone felt so let down by him walking away when everything was going so well for him and the club - money grabber !!!
