Assuming Parrot is on loan? I know we’ve done well getting players in but surely we can’t get another cirkin/clarke type deal can we?

How do you know they’re good enough by the way? I fully believe they can make the step up and perform but I’ve never seen them play at this level so i certainly don’t know
I agree. Personally think Stewart will be fine, have a few doubts about Broadhead…

That Derby County team had Harry Wilson, Tomori and Mason Mount in it, all on loan from Liverpool and Chelsea.
He was pretty lucky tbf, they had a really strong squad and probably should have got promoted with the players they had.

Wilson is like, good championship but not quite cutting it in the Prem level so far. Mount and Tomori fair enough but both 19 at the time I think so it was their first real taste of blokes football in England. Wilson and Mount had decent seasons but they lost Vydra to Burnley and replaced him with Jack Marriott.. Mount is a quality player but at 19 he was still very raw and having no quality striker probably cost them promotion - Norwich having Pukki, Sheff Utd had Sharp who we know isn’t the best but is lethal in the championship, Villa had Abraham and West Brom had Gayle and Rodriguez who both hit 20+.. Even Brentford had Maupay and finished mid table.

They beat Leeds in the play offs who had the majority of the team who played in the Premier league for them in 2020/21 aswell. I agree if he was a better manager he might’ve got them over the line, I’m not saying he’s a quality gaffa just that I don’t think he’s as bad as people make out. They lost in the play off final to Villa who’d spent a fortune on squad players and had the likes of Grealish, Mings, Hause, McGinn, El ghazi, Abraham and Tuanzebe on loan..

Glad that the ongoing who gives a **** Lingard saga is over. He'll have to fight Colback for his place now.
Bonkers signing by Forest. 200k pw with zero sell on value. As soon as it looks like it's going south for them in Jan/Feb, Lingard will down tools and protect himself for injury ahead of his next move

Broadhead's movement pace and finishing is definitely of championship standard. Once he improves his link up n hold up play and stays injury free he will be a top championship forward
Hopefully we’ll soon find that out…

But how do we know anyone is good enough?

Boro spend £15m on Assombalonga, proven goal machine and he turns to ****e. Plenty of other examples, though I take your point that an experienced lad with a record of goals would be handy.

But they don't come cheap, or are easily found, especially when we have a current first pick.
