Can't believe several days after I originally posted it, grown men are still rattled and seething over tactical jargon <laugh>

He's 29, well down the pecking order with us and only has a year to run on his deal. You'd think he might want to actually go and play somewhere, even if he did have to take a knock on his wages for the rest of this season.

The deals that where being offered where pretty much the same amount of money over 2 seasons ( as close as anyway ) as he will earn with us for one year. Financially he's going to be much better seeing his contract out here with very little pressure or risk and then signing a new deal elsewhere next season and beyond... From a purely football POV its daft though

Eaves is really clearly short on confidence right now. It’s reasonable to assume that lack of confidence extends to his view on joining a new club. I don’t blame him for sticking with us.

I thought Eaves did well when he came in against Preston. Keeping the ball alive lead to us scoring. It’s very difficult to build any momentum in the team when you feature so sporadically.

Not unless he massively improves he isn't, they may have watched him a couple of times but that not to say they are impressed enough to bid

They have watched a lot more than a couple of times, they also understand he has the ability to improve in a better team and they are going to be following up on him.

We've allegedly told West Ham, Brentford and Southampton that it will cost them £12m to sign KLP.

If that’s true I don’t get that. Why show our hand and put a figure to his name when the January transfer window is months away? If someone wanted to buy something I was reluctant to sell, I’d let them name their price. £12 million is actually rather low today. With add-ons included, Brentford will be paying £10 million for Toney who they signed from Posh in League 1.

To maybe get further clubs interested in looking and starting a bidding war, gives them few months to watch him and he might hit top form in that time which would encourage clubs to bid.

I know one of the people who has been watching him, they see potential but atm that's all they see. He's a number of young players they are watching in his position and they have made no final decision on any of them. Unless something drastic changes I don't see a bid in Jan ( but things can change ) one big question mark against him ATM is his size and strength
