If he's going to play one particular system, he needs to make sure he has adequate replacemnts in case of injuries. We coped well last season, but at times, the squad looked rather thin in certain positons.

Love this part of the season when all the speculation starts about who we should get, who will will get, all the so called "in the knows".
Great fun before............we are all let down with selling a couple of the good uns' and all the positive vibes turn to negative reality.
who'd be a Hull City fan !
Let’s hope he’s not a free agent thenIs Adelakun a free agent next month?I think we might go in for him anyway
I thought Whyte was a big upgrade on HA.Is Adelakun a free agent next month?I think we might go in for him anyway
Me too but I still think we might go for himI thought Whyte was a big upgrade on HA.
I'd suggest he knew what he needed last summer and pretty much did get it? The owners have backed him pretty well. And again this last January? I think we all felt he would have benefitted from another CF but he would have had to go some to do better than Magennis over the last 2-3 months.McCann will know what’s needed.
He also knows he probably won’t get it.
Allam’s OUT.
I thought HA looked good on the ball, had a bit of poise, but he didn't seem to contribute very much. And if wiki is right he didn't get a game all season after he was recalled.I thought Whyte was a big upgrade on HA.
We held talks with him didn’t we? He chose MK Dons over us, I wonder if he regrets that decision now?Think we should go in for Scott Fraser at MK Dons. We've been linked with him previously and he's scored 14 goals for them this season. Not bad for a midfielder at all. He's got one year left at MK Dons but he'll definitely be a 7 figure sum signing.
I thought Whyte was a big upgrade on HA.
Well if we get our £1.5m back when we sell James Scott..... ah.Cardiff paid £2m for Whyte and he's still under contract, I'm not sure he's got a future there, but I'm even less sure that we'd get anywhere near the fee they'd want.

Here's a list of all Championship free agents thanks to DDM. Year options also stated.

I was really hopeful about Scott but he has seemed to lack physical strength for quite a big guy. I still wonder if he might come good but he's clearly nowhere near the first team at the moment so he might hanker after a return to Scotland. Think we might try to hang on for a while and work with him.Well if we get our £1.5m back when we sell James Scott..... ah.
I'd have Slater back if they let us & put in a cheeky bid for Oliver Norwood 'not a chance on that front but who knows! It’ll be interesting to see if we try and sign Whyte, given McCarthy doesn’t seem keen on him getting game time at Cardiff.Slater’s first team involvement recently wouldn’t have gone unnoticed by Sheffield United who may deem him a decent squad player next season in the Championship, although the managerial situation there may complicate things.
I think a couple of experienced championship players with maybe one or two decent signings from League one that fit into the system and we’ll be ready to go.
Obvs we need to ward off any interest in Wilks and KLP,unless we get ridiculous offers..
