I reckon Key is just a game of chicken in terms of them seeing how badly we want him and how much we will pay.

For that reason I think we will either sign him very late in the window for a fee as low as reported (once they realise we won’t spend silly), OR somebody else will come in.

The sad, but very predictable, truth is that those who come on hourly screaming for a left back suddenly vanish the second we sign a left back.

If they actually wanted us to sign a left back so badly they'd be straight on here to show their pleasure ...

... but, of course they don't really want us to sign a left back at all, it's just a good excuse to moan and lecture other people.

I've no idea how their minds work and certainly wouldn't want to know.

People think everything's delayed tbh.

Sometimes it's just negotiations and people deliberately string things out.

I think he'll come here, especially after seeing our other signings.

They will come back on here and say something like, I’ve been on holiday, working away or internet has been down ha ha

Said it from day one that the new owner was going to build a strong infrastructure to lay the foundations to improve the playing squad which is a total change from the scattergun approach we have been used to operated by a slapdash management team . Almost there on the recruitment side but who knows if the right calibre players become available and LJ and Speakman think they would improve things - why not ! Absolutely loving the preseason and start to the season , turned things around quicker and better than we can have hoped for. On to Burton haway lads keep the pot boiling!!!
